Iron Fist vs Jotaro Kujo

When in doubt, PUNCH IT!

Daniel Rand aka Iron Fist info:

Weight: 175lbs

Weapons: Bare Hands, Chi

Strengths: Superhuman strength (able to knock out grown men with light punches, Can bench lift several times his own weight, Once knocked a military grade helicopter out of the sky with a single punch, The force of his most powerful punch was compared to a hydrogen bomb, Can augment his strength with Chi), Superhuman durability (Has tanked blows from Radion and even survived being in the centre of a Train filled with explosives via augmenting his durability with Chi), Superhuman speed/massively hypersonic combat speeds (Able to keep up with and hit the likes of Spider-Man and Daredevil, Can dodge point blank gun shots), Incredibly stamina (Once meditated for three days straight without rest, food or drink), Can augment his abilities and heal great wounds as well as cleanse poisons through Chi and can even weaponize it for ranged attacks, Can sense others life force through Chi, Can temporarily create psychic links with his foes so that he can read his opponents moves the moment they make them, Mastered many martial arts, Is deemed a ‘Living Weapon’.

Weaknesses: Requires Chi to be anywhere near his peak and is greatly weakened without it, Despite his great power Daniel is still human and will die if damaged enough.

Jotaro Kujo info:

Height: 6 foot 5

Weight: 181lbs

Weapons: Bare Hands, Star Platinum

Strengths: Above human/Superhuman strength (Jotaro is physically stronger than most men his age and older, Star Platinum is able to effortlessly lift several tons, Can shatter diamonds and objects with the density of diamonds), Superhuman durability (Both Jotaro and Star Platinum show immense durability, Star Platinum being immune to all kinds of damage save for those inflicted by another Stand, Jotaro has walked off major injuries, Can survive with his heart forcibly stopped for nearly a minute), Superhuman speed/massively hypersonic combat speeds (Star Platinum can catch and punch away point blank fired bullets, Can throw thousands of punches in a matter of seconds, Is stated to be faster than light), Star Platinum can manipulate his body (Can become intangible, Can extend his fingers), Star Platinum can manipulate time (Can freeze time for up to five seconds), Jotaro is remarkably intelligent and observant able to take in his environment to help planning during combat.

Weaknesses: Jotaro and Star Platinum are linked in a way that any injury on one passes over to the other meaning that if the Stand User or his Stand dies the other perishes with him, When angered Jotaro forgoes planning and strategy in favour of just rushing into battle wildly, Jotaro’s and Star Platinum’s fighting styles are extremely close quarters limiting ranged options.

Battle begin!

Jotaro sighed as he checked the clock that hung above the entrance of one of New York’s many subways, it would be another good hour before his train arrived but since the nights chill was setting in it was best that he head into the subway anyway to keep warm, the bruiser pulling the brim of his cap down over his face to conceal as much of it as possible not wanting to draw any unwanted attention as he headed down the steps.

Despite his attempt to stay out of trouble however trouble came swiftly to him as a grown man came flying at him, his body nearly connecting with Jotaro when Star Platinum emerged and stood in front of his Stand User to block him, the unfortunate goon breaking like plywood against the Stand causing some of his blood to land on Jotaro’s leather jacket.

His eyes widening at the sight of the stain on his beloved jacket Jotaro then turned his attention as to where the thug had come from, in the centre of the subway station there was what looked like an all-out battle royal between a local street gang and a single man clad in green and yellow.

Despite being greatly outnumbered Iron Fist blatantly had the upper hand in the fight, the Martial Artist anticipating, blocking, disarming and dispatching every thug that rushed him with pin point skill and precision sending every one of them flying in the direction they had come from.

As the last of the street gang was taken out Iron Fist turned his attention to Jotaro and even through the white fabric that covered the Martial Artists eyes the Stand User could tell that he was jumping to the wrong conclusions, the fact that he was wearing leather like the thugs he had just beaten up and had a natural aura of ‘fuck off’ about him seriously didn’t help “good grief, all I wanted was a peaceful night for once” Jotaro sighed as Star Platinum readied himself for the fight.

“Sorry buddy, no criminal gets off easy in my city” Iron Fist responded as he set his stance.

“I’m not a…oh what’s the use?” Jotaro sighed, closing his eyes and inhaling before opening them and exhaling “Star Platinum”.

Moving to act on his masters command Star Platinum flinched as Iron Fist suddenly made the first move, rushing forward faster than thought humanly possible throwing his fist straight at Jotaro’s face only for it to be stopped as Star Platinum grabbed hold of his wrist.

Shocked that he was stopped by seemingly nothing Iron Fist then gagged as Star Platinum slugged him in the gut contorting his body in half for a split second before raining down a barrage of light speed punches all over his body, the echo of “ORAORAORAORAORA!!!!” running through the air of the subway before the Stand sent Iron Fist flying with one final savage punch to the face.

Recoiling from the blow Iron Fist was sent flying back connecting hard with the side of a passing train, the impact sending him forward making him land hard on his face as the back of his suit was shredded by the passing train cars.

“How did he stop me without touching me? Could he be psychic? A Mutant?” Iron Fist pondered as he rose back to his feet, readying himself when he senses something off with the air in front of him “wait, no, something different” he realised as he focused his Chi powers ahead of him to broaden his sight, bringing Star Platinum to his mind’s eye just in time to let him block as the Stand swung at him again.

Managing to block and deflect the Stand’s fist Iron Fist then retaliated hopping back and sending a wave of Chi energy at Star Platinum who recoiled from the blast but otherwise looked completely unharmed by it as the Stand reeled his fist back for another punch.

Hopping back again to dodge the punch causing Star Platinum to punch a hole in the floor Iron Fist followed up by delivering a staggering punch to the back of the Stands head to which he barely responded to the hit other than recoiling forward slightly.

Whilst Star Platinum seemed to feel no pain from the hit Jotaro was a different matter though, the Stand User suddenly lurching forward which a grunt of pain as his head rang from the force of the blow “so this bastard can hit hard…” he growled before quickly straightening himself up “I’ll just have to hit harder” he continued motioning for his Stand to press the attack.

Responding instantly to his masters silent command Star Platinum moved with unreadable speed seemingly disappearing and reappearing behind Iron Fist to strike him from behind sending him flying towards Jotaro who promptly kicking him up into the air sending the Martial Artist crashing into the ceiling of the subway station.

Not giving him a chance to fall down Star Platinum then rushed up to rain more blindly fast punches upon Iron Fist as the cry of “ORAORAORA!!!” echoed through the air again, each punch forcing Iron Fist further into the ceiling before the tiles broke and even the concrete above them until finally the Martial Artist was sent straight up into the streets above.

“Good grief” the Joestar sighed as he watched Star Platinum follow his opponent through the hole in the ceiling, shaking his head before jumping up through the hole to re-join the fight finding his Stand and Iron Fist now furiously exchanging blows in the street whilst to pedestrians around them watched in shock, to them it would look like the great Iron Fist was fighting the air itself.

As he caught another punch from the Stand Iron Fist noticed Jotaro jumping up through the hole and saw that blood was gently dripping out from under his hat and that his face had a couple of bruises in the exact same places he had punched Star Platinum.

“These guys are linked! And if I can’t hurt this one then maybe…” he pondered before quickly acting upon his plan, rolling out of the way from another punch from Star Platinum whilst generating a ball of Chi energy in his hand hurling it at Jotaro.

Reacting quickly to the Chi ball Jotaro kicked it away only to stumble as he put his leg back down grunting in pain as his shin was badly burned by the contact with the Chi ball and as Iron Fist expected Star Platinum recoiled and stumbled as well, a small char mark appearing on his shin.

Confident that he could actually hurt Jotaro Iron Fist fully turned his attention from the Stand to his User, rushing forward fast enough that Star Platinum missed a swing for him as the Martial Artist delivered a punishing blow straight to the Joestar’s face faster than he could react sending him flying back into a brick wall sending cracks along it.

As Jotaro rebounded off of the wall Iron Fist continued his assault essentially pinning the Joestar to the now crumbling wall with a barrage of kicks all over his body, each one causing Jotaro to slam back against the bricks until he fell to one knee and hand to support himself “Star Platinum…” he groaned as Iron Fist charged his Chi into his fist making it glow with power before bringing it down to strike Jotaro “the World!”.

Iron Fist froze completely as Star Platinum brought time to a complete stop, giving Jotaro time to climb out from between the wall and Iron Fist proceeding to dust himself off, correct his hat and jacket and saunter out of the way of the frozen Martial Artists fist “time now resumes” he then muttered as the five second mark passed causing time to flow as normal.

Upon moving again Iron Fist punched straight through the wall confused as to how Jotaro had suddenly disappeared “what the? How?” he pondered confused before getting struck from behind by Star Platinum sending him straight through the wall and out the other side of the building whilst the Stand followed.

Righting himself in the air Iron Fist landed on his feet to meet Star Platinum, their fists immediately flying and connecting hundreds upon hundreds of times making small shockwaves as they clashed, for every twenty or so punches blocked one blow went through for both of them but as Iron Fists blows simply bounced off of Star Platinum and only seemed to inflict minor damage upon Jotaro the Stands punches were dealing far more damage to the Martial Artists making his Chi infused hyper durable body strain under the weight of his punches.

Reeling back from a powerful tooth breaking blow to the face Iron Fist then repelled the Stand with a wall of Chi energy before starting to channel more into his fist, his entire arm starting to glow until finally he rushed Star Platinum with a punch to the gut so powerful it sent a shockwave out that ruptured the concrete below and around them as well as lifting the cars around them several feet off of the floor.

Whilst the Stand tanked the punch like it was nothing Jotaro dealt with it much worse, his face contorting as it felt like Dio himself had punched him square in the abdomen, blood bursting from his mouth as he was literally knocked off of his feet by the linked wound causing him to land on his elbows and knees as he steadied himself.

“Damn it…going to have to end this fast…” he wheezed as he reeled from another strong blow to Star Platinum’s head, the blow making his head snap back as his eye blackened “Star Platinum! THE WORLD!!!” he shouted prompting the Stand to bring time to a halt again freezing Iron Fist in his place again “end it! Now!”.

Reeling his fists back Star Platinum then began to deliver a barrage of punches faster than the speed of light itself, several thousand blows landing all over Iron Fist’s body all of them powerful enough to shatter diamonds like they were glass.

With his punching barrage was over the Stand then punched Iron Fist once more across the face for good measure before rushing to help his master back to his feet “time resumes now” the Joestar then wheezed clutching his cracked ribs as time went back to normal.

As he moved again Iron Fist stumbled as his fist whiffed at the air, the Martial Artist blinking a couple times in confusion before gasping with pain as his body suddenly seized up and began to shake, the pain of over ten thousand diamond shattering punches hitting him at once breaking every bone they had struck instantly before finally with a cry of agony Iron Fist exploded as his body couldn’t take the pressure anymore, sending blood and gore splattering across the street.

“Good grief” Jotaro sighed as he corrected his hat, grunting as he stood up straight causing his back to crack “so much for a peaceful night”.

Winner: Jotaro Kujo

Now this was a fight in which I actually struggled for a while as to decide who would win but in the end it came down to Star Platinum’s ability to manipulate time that brought Jotaro the victory.

Honestly if this had been pre-Dio defeat Jotaro or if he had never gained the ‘the World’ ability Iron Fist would have most likely won through the damage Jotaro would receive via being physically linked to Star Platinum.

Not to say that this was an easy victory even with Star Platinum’s time manipulation however as Iron Fists intense durability made it difficult for the Stand to put down quickly and since Iron Fist once tanked being in the core of an explosion of a train filled with bombs and also took blows from Radion and shrugged them off he would be able to take punishment from Star Platinum for a while.

Although under the influence of ‘the World’ Iron Fist had no way of defending himself from several thousand punches with the force to shatter diamonds and even if he could tank an massive explosion it’s highly doubtful his body could withstand that could of assault happening in less than a second.

I kinda disagree, but good fight.

I mainly agree because while Jotaro is a good deal faster, and can maybe phase through him with his stand, I feel Iron Fist outclasses him in too many ways. But it was nice to see Jotaro win anyway.
