Blake Belladonna info:

Height: 5 foot 6

Weight: 125lbs

Weapons: Gambol Shroud, a Short Sword and SMG attached together by a long cord.

Strengths: Highly acrobatic and fast in her combat style, Semblance allows her to create Shadow Clones to distract her enemies and take blows for her, Her Clones can be imbued with Dust to have varying effects upon destruction e.g. exploding/freezing the attacker/etc, Highly skilled shot with the SMG half of Gambol Shroud, Strong enough to punch a full grown man and send him good couple dozen feet away and can slice through full Mech’s and Grimm with Gambol Shroud.

Weaknesses: Average durability and her Aura can only defend her for so many hits, Can easily be aggravated if pushed in the right way, Extremely single minded and will push on with what she believes is the best plan of action no matter how dangerous it is to her own health, Used to primarily fighting as part of a team so cannot reach her ‘true’ potential whilst fighting solo.

Height: 6 foot 1

Weight: 190lbs

Weapons: Futuristic Ninjato, Palm Blaster

Strengths: Cerberus’s top Assassin and agent, full N7 training alongside his training with Cerberus, Has a near flawless mission record, Extremely fast and agile, Strong shielding allowing him to tank dozens of bullets and even several explosions before one can reach his body, Can cloak himself to near invisibility for stealth attacks, His visor gives him night vision.

Weaknesses: Despite augmentations and skill Kai Leng is still human and mortal, intense hatred of non-humans and any enemy of Cerberus can cloud his judgement.

Battle begin!

Blake’s golden eyes shone in the dark of the night as she watched the streets from the rooftops above, the White Fang had been getting bolder and bolder in their ‘protests’ recently leading to several human run establishments getting robbed and outright ransacked in the night and because of her past affiliation with the group Blake felt obligated to at least try to put a stop to the raids. She never told the rest of Team RWBY about her little midnight stake outs though, they just wouldn’t understand or worse would try to help.

Leaping across the street to the adjacent roof tops Blake’s feline ears twitched under her bow picking up the sounds of whimpers and pleas to be left alone snapping her attention to a nearby alley. Upon inspecting the alley Blake gasped as she found three members of the White Fang ganging up on a young girl and to her further shock the long rabbit ears adorning the girls head revealed that they were victimizing a fellow Faunus, most likely for not sharing their hatred of humanity.

Placing her hand on Gambol Shroud’s hilt Blake prepared to jump down to face the aggressors only to stop when something moved from the shadows, faster than her eyes could see and before she knew it one of the White Fang members fell to the ground, his head rolling several feet away from him. Less than three seconds later the other two Faunus terrorists met similar fates, one of them falling back clutching his throat as blood spewed from a deep gash that had been carved through it whilst the other choked on his last breath when he was impaled through the chest from behind “what the?” Blake gasped in both shock and slight horror as the White Fang members breathed their last, their attacker drawing his weapon from the last ones corpse before turning to the victimized girl.

As the man rose to his feet Blake ran her eyes along his form trying to figure out who he was aligned with as he bore no emblem like that of ATLAS, Beacon or the Schnee company. Her confusion quickly turned to horror however when the man advanced on the Faunus girl drawing his Blade again as she desperately tried to scramble away “one less inhuman freak” she heard him growl under his breath as he prepared to cut the girl down.

Before she knew what she was doing she had drawn Gambol Shroud and was firing upon the attacker, her bullets pinging off of him as his body lit up with every shot showing that Shielding that covered his body, her attack acting enough to distract him from his murder attempt though “run!” Blake called out to the girl as she hopped down from the roof to face him.

Growling with annoyance at the interruption causing the Faunus girl to slip away Kai Leng turned to glare at Blake behind his visor “I am working towards humanity’s sole survival, do not stand in my way! Try to stop me and I will cut you down like the rest of these inhuman filth!” he snarled holding his Blade out at her as a warning.

Blake’s pupils turned into slits as she realized that the human was neither a friend to the White Fang or Faunus kind in general, the Cat Faunus gripping the hilt of Gambol Shroud harder as Kai Leng then sheathed his Sword and turned to walk away. As the Assassin braced himself to leap to the rooftops Blake acted, raising the SMG half of Gambol Shroud and opening fire again, she couldn’t let him simply walk away since he posed such an open threat to the Faunus population of Vale.

Tensing as his Shielding flashed up again Kai Leng looked back at Blake over his shoulder reaching up to grip the hilt of his Sword “another enemy of humanity to rid the world of” the Cerberus agent growled as he turned to face Blake drawing his weapon from its sheath.

A few agonizing seconds passed as the two combatants sized each other up before they made their moves, Kai Leng rushing in with a low Sword sweep in an attempt to take out Blake’s legs to which the Faunus intercepted jumping up and flipping over him raining gunfire down upon him as she sailed through the air cutting down most of his Shielding. Turning his heels to halt his charge Kai Leng then quickly turned around to fire at Blake with his Palm Blasters shooting smouldering holes in the wall behind her as she used the long wire of Gambol Shroud to rappel out of his range ascending to the rooftops again.

“Coward” the Cerberus Agent spat as he quickly followed the Faunus jumping up to the rooftop with ease only to suffer a powerful kick to the chest the moment his feet touched the roof tiles. The blow sending him flying back a couple of buildings forcing him to dig his Sword into the third building’s roof to slow himself. Looking back up as his momentum stopped Kai Leng quickly wrenched his Sword from the roof to clash against Gambol Shroud as Blake came flying at him, sparks flying as the two Blades clashed.

Pushing hard against Blake’s Blade Kai Leng was momentarily shocked to find that Blake didn’t move an inch, the Faunus being remarkably strong for her size and stature, strong enough in fact to actually knock him off balance when she pushed him back. Stumbling back Kai let out a frustrated grunt firing at Blake with his Palm Blaster which she easily avoided before activating his Cloaking device disappearing from sight. Shocked by his sudden invisibility Blake readied herself, her golden eyes darting around constantly trying to pick up any movements as her feline ears twitched under her bow.

Seconds later Blake’s ears stiffened as she heard footsteps circling behind her quickly stepping to a side to dodge the near invisible Sword swing, the Blade cleaving into the roof tiles barely an inch away from her foot. Whilst she was able to hear and avoid the Sword Blake was unable to see the brutal sucker punch and kick to the side coming, knocking her clean off guard and sending her flying off of the roof and across the street sending her smashing through the window of an abandoned house.

Rolling as she hit the floor Blake cried out as she slammed into the wall dazed as she landed on all fours, shaking the glass out of her hair her feline ears twitched again as she heard footsteps approaching, the crunching of the glass giving away Kai’s position as he had assumed that the hard landing would have left her dazed enough for an easy kill. As the Cerberus Agent brought his Sword down to impale her Blake summoned a Shadow Clone to take her place, diving out of the way as Kai’s Blade impaled the Clone.

Scowling with frustration at the simple decoy trick Kai Leng moved to pull his Blade from the floor only to find that he couldn’t move it, looking down to find his Sword imbedded in a large chunk of ice where the Shadow Clone had once been. Regaining her footing with a slight smirk at the sight of the Assassin struggling to pull his Blade from the ice Blake ejected the spent Dust cartridge from Gambol Shroud replacing it with another Ice Dust cartridge before using the wire of her weapon to go on the offensive again, ‘whipping’ one of the roof supports at the other side of the room to swing towards Kai striking him hard in the side with a harsh kick knocking him clean off of his feet.

Quickly recovering from the blow Kai rolled as he hit the floor as Blake had done before him, immediately setting himself in a crouched position and raising him hand to fire at Blake with his Palm Blaster. Deftly dodging every blast Blake returned fire with her SMG whittling down Kai’s Shields again forcing the Assassin to cloak himself again.

Reloading Gambol Shroud Blake pricked her ears up again flinching at the sound of rapid footsteps rushing passed her as well as Kai Leng’s Sword being ripped roughly from the ice only to disappear from sight as it connected with the Assassin’s hand. “If he keeps hiding I’m just a sitting duck, better make myself a harder target” Blake thought to herself before activating her Semblance again, summoning three Shadow Clones “go! Seek him out!” she instructed them to which they nodded and darting off in three different directions leaving Blake to search on her own.

Retreating to the shadows after leaping out of the abandoned building Kai Leng cursed to himself as he wiped the remaining frost from his Blade, never before had an enemy posed so much of a challenge for him, well not since Shepard. Cursing at the mental image of the Commander of the Normandy Kai shook his memory from his mind stalking into the streets to hunt down and finish Blake off.

It seemed that the Cerberus Agent was in luck as barely ten seconds into his search he caught sight of the Faunus quickly raising his hand to open fire upon her, the blast striking Blake in the back before she could even turn around. To Kai’s dismay though Blake simply turned to ice and shattered upon being hit showing that it was just a Clone and the sound of the blast had given away his position, the other two Clones immediately zeroing in on his position as the real Faunus hurried towards him as well.

Upon finding her Clones engaging in battle with the Assassin Blake turned her attention to the street lights above, if he could hide so could she. Hopping up to the street lights the Faunus quietly did away with the lights, slighting the Blade of Gambol Shroud into each light cutting through the circuits to snuff each one out quickly blanketing the entire street in pitch blackness, her eyes glowing as her natural night vision kicked in.

As Kai Leng quickly dispatched of the two clones he flinched as everything went black, his Visor taking a few moments to activate its night vision feature and when he was able to see again the first thing he saw was Blake rushing at him. Raising his Sword to clash with Gambol Shroud Kai dug his heels in the prevent Blake from pushing him back “why do you fight for these filthy inhuman scum? How can you betray your own kind?!” he snapped before forcing Blake back and taking a horizontal swing at her only for her to quickly duck out of the way, his Sword cleaving through her Bow.

As Blake’s shredded bow fluttered to the floor Kai Leng’s raged skyrocketed at the sight of her second set of ears “you’re one of them!” he snapped as he slugged at Blake with a powerful left hook, sending her flying back to which she quickly recovered back flipping to land back on her feet “filthy freak!” he then growled firing several more blasts from his palm at her forcing her on the defensive.

Diving and cartwheeling to dodge each shot Blake summoned more Shadow Clones to take the hits for her whilst she recuperated, the Clones quickly rushing in an almost kamikaze fashion to distract the Assassin to which he began to violently cut them down. Cleaving through the last Clone Kai Leng turned to find Blake hurriedly inserting another Dust Cartridge into Gambol Shroud to which he raised his hand to fire upon her again, the shot hitting her in the hands making her cry out as her weapon clattered to the floor.

Firing again the Cerberus Agent sent the Huntress to the floor to which he quickly advanced on her, reading his Blade and thrusting it at her as she tried to scramble away. The moment his Sword cut through Blake though Kai realized that his weapon drew no blood and inside of going limp like a normal body Blake instead ignited in a fiery explosion.

Another Shadow Clone.

Crying out as the Clone exploded from being infused with a Fire Dust Cartridge Kai Leng stumbled back from the explosion, most of his Shielding having been taken down by the blast to which Blake emerged from the shadows to go on the attack again, darting around him attacking the Assassin from all angles working through the rest of his Shields before starting to cut into his body. Gambol Shroud drawing blood again and again as she slashed along his arms, sides and abdomen before she finally stopped in front of him and stabbed her Blade forward with all her might.

Kai Leng went rigid as Gambol Shroud pierced his chest impaling him all the way through to protrude out of his back, his mouth open and gasping as blood built up in his throat, a few choking breathes leaving his mouth before he finally felt silent, Blake’s Blade having stopped his hate filled heart.

Pulling her weapon from the Assassin’s chest Blake grunted with disgust as the open wound splattered blood on her, looking down upon the beaten Cerberus Agent the Faunus just shook her head closing her eyes and sighing heavy, another life lost because of pointless hatred.

Sheathing Gambol Shroud Blake’s ears picked up as the sound of sirens could be heard faintly in the distance rapidly approaching immediately sending her fleeing, she couldn’t be seen like this, no one would understand why she had killed that man, after all she was just another Faunus, who would believe her? Sticking to the shadows she quickly made her way back to Beacon hoping to be able to hide her blood stained clothes before anyone could see them and that Weiss wouldn’t question her about her missing Dust Cartridges.

Winner: Blake Belladonna

Well, it seems RWBY finally has a win in my work and against an opponent like Kai Leng Blake deserves it. Whilst Kai is Cerberus’s top Assassin for a reason it is simply because he is highly skilled at stealth killing, that is where he excels and is nearly unmatched but when it comes to all out combat he can be bested almost easily as proven when he was forced to retreat by Thane who was literally on his last legs from a fatal disease.

Blake on the other hand excels at both stealth and close quarters combat, using her speed and agility to keep her enemies on their toes as well as her deceptive strength. Her trump card though was her Semblance, allowing her to make near countless clones of herself to keep Kai Leng distracted and even damage him enough for her to deliver the final blow.
